So, you got excited about HTC Evo 4G readying up to get Froyo OTA update from Sprint...but why wait if you can have it now? If you are a root junkie, be aware that you WILL LOSE ROOT and the OTA update may close further exploits...therefore, we urge you to wait a day or two so developers can do their magic. If you do not care about root, then go ahead and enjoy Froyo on your Evo.
To Install OTA:
1. Download the OTA Update File
2. Rename the file to update.zip and move to root of SD card
3. Reboot into recovery and select "Apply update.zip"
Once it's finished, the first boot will take longer than usual...but hang in there as Froyo goodness is ready to take over your Evo.
