Bionic Path Saver and Restore/Root Utility for 5.9.902

Return to stock from off the path or after a brick

This tool is a combination of my original R3L3AS3DRoot tool, P3Droid's PathSaver, and crpeck's BionicRestorer.

Special thanks to:

P3Droid for the original Bionic PathSaver

Crpeck for his Linux/Mac updates to my original R3L3AS3DRoot via Moto-Rooter and Bionic Restorer

DroidTh3ory for help in developing the original R3L3AS3DRoot

djrbliss for motofail and the many other exploits we use to get our root on

This tool will take any bionic on any system and return it to stock 5.5.893 (Option 1 for Bionics that have never been on 5.9.90X and option 2 for those that have), has the option to root any system version, install Project VooDoo OTA Rootkeeper, and push the 5.9.902 update to your SDcard with instructions for installing in stock recovery.

Download the tool for your OS along with the FXZ file listed below, extract the zip and follow the enclosed ReadMe.

Nice job! This should help a lot of folks out. All of the changes that have been taking place over the last week or so have made many methods redundant or legacy and lot of users are jumping through unecessary hoops and following very complicated guides to get back on the path.

Thanks!

<div> </div>
<div>Interestingly, the script reboots my bionic and *does not wait* before attempting to flash the mbm and cdt.bin files, and then waits for the device.</div>
<div> </div>
<div>I noticed that it said that any errors would be abnormal so I just wanted to check here, my Bionic hasn&amp;#39;t entered the final recovery mode stage yet, but the script seems to have completed successfully, my bionic has entered the final recovery stage and is setting up as we speak, I just want to double check that my issues are not abnormal. Also important to mention is that this is my *second* attempt at flashing this Bionic using the script, the first attempt got hung up on flashing the system partition, and the bionic was unable to boot until I flashed a good cdt.bin file, I&amp;#39;m not sure why that happened, but it seems to be working fine now.</div>

EDIT: Whoa what happened there?! None of these tags were in my original posting, so I'm not sure what happened.
Also, upon finishing the final recovery and booting, I am presented with unchanged data on the phone (i.e. the setup wizard has been completed, my contacts remain) and a message box labelled "Info" containing the text "An error has occured." with OK being the only available option.

If you are on an unrooted 902 bionic and want to revert to a prior version you would need to obtain the cdt.bin for 902 if I am correct in my assumptions, and then use that to flash instead of the cdt.bin.901 and it would work; however since 902 is an official update you DO NOT NEED TO REVERT to continue to obtain updates (and I'm not sure why you'd want to since 902 is supposedly an improvement over 901 and 893 and the other soak OTA leaks.) If you are on unrooted 902 you want to run option "4" to root your Bionic.

Great, more problems, it fails to copy mount_ext3.sh over as well:

i got my phone to boot.. i was hung on the moto sign after the 5.5.893 update..luckly i had already put the .902 update on my sd card..i did a battery pull and went into recovery mode by pressing both volume buttons and top display button at the same time.. then when the droid man popped up i was able to press the two volume buttons and find the update in my sd card.. updated to .902 and phone booted like butter..Like Y.C. say im Rooted and Booted
