Verizon's Droid XyBoard 10.1 (with AND without the OTA update)

Motorola XyBoard 8.2 (Wifi Only)

This should work on ANY Moto Device running Gingerbread or Honeycomb

Installation Instructions

install Motorola ADB drivers if on Windows

Put the device in USB debugging mode

Connect via USB

Extract the zip file, and execute “run.bat” (on Windows) or “run.sh” from a terminal (on Linux/OSX).

Edit 2/21/2012: I got the latest update today. (a week + later than everyone else). I installed and as expected it broke root. Dans tool fixed me right back up no problems and no unrooting or editing of system files prior to installing the update.

Nitro just tested his 8.2 Wifi only XyBoard with this method and it worked successfully

Since I rooted with this tool, my update keeps failing. I am not positive it's because of the root but that is the only thing I can think of. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Yes i too have had the issue with the update.

Turns out the update issue was caused because I had removed the vcast app. Located a copy of the app in a system dump, placed it back in the system/app/ folder and the update went through flawlessly.

I did the same thing but it didnt work for me..... anyne have any ideas on this issue? On idea i have is maybe all the system qpps that came with the tab need to be installed .... only issue is , i dont remember what came on it lol... does anyone have a list ?

the way I found out what app was missing on mine was when the update failed and the android with the triangle was on the screen, i hit both voolume buttons at the same time and the display changed to the recovery screen and half way down the page it listed the name of the app and the directory it was supposed to be in.

Does anyone know where I can download the stock rom for the XYBOARD ?. What what to use to re flash? This is driving me crazy... now I know to only freeze bloat from now on...
