Android is all about choices. And here's another choice for AOSP ROM:

"AOKP" (Android Open KANG Project) is a built from source ROM similar to CyanogenMod (but different). I didn't create AOKP, STS-Dev-Team only ported it to the BIONIC.

The future of AOKP is quite bright as new features are popping up all the time.

This port is based off mine and Hashcode's ICS work for CM9 and it has ALL of the same issues (and possibly some which weren't addressed in the port).

FOR DEVS: Hashcode has a local_manifest.xml setup for this ROM, so that you can repo init from AOKP's manifest and drop in the STS changes to build for all 4 phones.

IMPORTANT INSTRUCTIONS FOR GETTING DATA ENABLED:

New GSM only mode under Settings/Wireless & Networks/More/Mobile Networks/Network Mode/ Select GSM only wait till the screen flashes twice (or it says 4G SIM detected would you like to switch to LTE/CDMA) then switch to LTE/CDMA. Data will come up.

NOTE: OLD Method You may have to dial *#*#4636#*#* (or use Phone Info from the market) and toggle data mode between modes. For me toggling to GSM only till the screen flashes and then back to GSM/CDMA auto (prl) works perfect. It will show data for a sec then flash off and about 30 seconds it will pop up to full data.


WHAT DOESN'T WORK:
Camera (in progress)
HW Video Codecs (in progress)
Bluetooth on but not connected = loss of all audio (in progress)
Seems only 1 SD card is sharing, this needs to be corrected with a CM patch -- might also be causing a NovaLauncher crash which needs a battery pull.

Hmmm no screen rotation. Brightness toggles seem ineffective. Ideas?

I've tried to boot this up twice and it keeps bootlooping. Axiom boots up just fine. Any idea?

Thanks for this, super smooth I don't see the built in screenshot in the menu that pops up when the power button is held down - is there any screenshot functionality?

Sweet, thanks... Also noticing the soft keys stay lit at all times - even with screen off, anyone else notice that?

Try flipping bluetooth on and off again. That worked in ISC4BIONIC.

Errrr, I mean auto brightness.

I am having the same issue, it bootloops at the team kang symbol. Done it twice same result.

Were you using bootstrap or safestrap? After trying bootstrap three times, I tried safestrap and it booted up. Figure it just won't boot up in bootstrap yet, unless someone can confirm it does which would leave me totally confused as to why that happened to me lol

I like this ROM better than ICS4Bionic also, seems more stable IMO. I bootlooped the first flash, tried to use Circle Battery 1% Mod not realizing it was built-in and not compatible anyway lol, oops. Nova Launcher was a pleasant suprise, never used before(I use Go Launcher EX) and worlds apart better than stock which has barely any customization to speak of.
