After installing the baseband update and trying to reactivate my phone i constantly get "The number or code you dialed is incorrect."
What am I do wrong? I tried going back to my previous nandroid and reactivating and get the same message through activation. #43 OFFLINEPosted 06 June 2010 - 07:51 PM
When you mean code, what specific code did it prompt you for? Or do mean when you tried to dial for activation? Did you call *228 and press option 1 when prompted?

I've never had that problem when activating before. #45 OFFLINEPosted 06 June 2010 - 08:05 PM jonesbug said: When I call attempt to dial *228 it kicks me into the activate your phone menu, then I get that message. What is the baseband version of this update?
#48 OFFLINEPosted 06 June 2010 - 08:33 PM
Off topic; VZW doesn't have roaming networks, right? or am I missing something essential here? Main purpose of the question is to make sure I avoid getting nailed with roaming fees, should any such fees exist.

If you are in the US, you shouldn't really be roaming. You might see "Extended Network" which means you are using another carriers tower, but it's included in your service fee already

Once installed in the "Root" of SD card, should I be installing zip as well.? Am running CR..BTW, when you say "root" of SD card, do you mean a file named root or just copy and paste the file in the SD card in general? Sorry for the "not so smart?":)

So if you click on the folder called SD Card drop it in there don't go any further. #55 OFFLINEPosted 06 June 2010 - 08:49 PM validoption said: As far as I know and as far as I've travelled, if you're in the US, you're golden. Rename the baseband as update.zip, boot into clockwork recovery and select apply update.zip. Also make sure thate the baseband update.zip is the only update.zip on your SD card. Edit: Yes, copy the file to the card, don't make a file called root. Ok..Will Do..thnks #57 OFFLINEPosted 06 June 2010 - 08:57 PM crazed said: Being paranoid, anyone have instructions or a sbf I can use to revert back if thise goes wrongly? I was told a standard backup does not cover baseband. http://www.mydroidwo...-get-froyo.html

I tried it but I couldnt locate the "Locale" folder after pressing the second data folder.(According to the directions from 2.1) 1 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 1 guests, 0 anonymous users |
