Welcome to MyDroidWorld!!! Try rebooting and see if it works...if not, I would suggest wiping data and cache, then re-flashing the ROM. ;)

Which overclock kernel did you load? Some droids don't handle higher ones very well...I would wipe data and cache, then re-flash the lower kernel. :)

If I install will this root me if not I assume I cant install the wifi fix? (OC)
Also what would be the method to get back to 2.1?

Will this leave any info behind if I revert back to 2.1 that Verizon can see if I need to repalce the device?

Thanks

I don't understand this at all...the thread you link as the suggested place to start for those with 2.1 who want to root and flash Froyo includes the following post

BBCrackman said:

This guide is for non rooted users who dont want to root. If you want to root we need to do a few other steps to get you rolling. We will have to take you back to 2.0.1 using the RSD light program then load a rooted 2.1 update.zip then we can just use one of the other froyo files for rooted users

I'd appreciate any help you can offer to help clear up my confusion on this.

Thanks

What does BBCrackmen mean when he says "This guide is for non rooted users who dont want to root." ?

I'm missing something. Is this at odds with what you and Olta are saying?

I was under the impression that once you went thru the steps, the phone will be rooted at end...but I may be wrong. Let me clarify that and I will get back to you. :)

Google Services appears to be outdated leading to issues with chrometophone and Google Voice. Chrometophone will not register a Droid. Google Voice will not automatically update messages.

I'mma stop thread-jacking the other guy's question.

I did a fresh install of froyo

Now, in which order should I apply the following updates: The SPRecovery rooting update, the wifi kernel, and the baseboard kernel.
