To start I learned about this about via the leak photos of Droid X and started looking into the apps I didn't recognize. It is a media sharing app, it allows the sharing of pictures, video, and music via your android device and your pc, tv, and stereo if all are on a network and are dlna certified. I located it on the market yesterday and now it has vanished before I got a chance to download it. If anyone has any knowledge on this app this is the place to discuss it and other media sharing apps. If anyone can find the apk for the DLNA app I would like a pm please. I found a link to the website at

Ok, so after alot of searching and digging I could not find the DLNA apk as I seen on the Droid X. I did however manage to find a apk thats not on the market that allows me to use my phone as a server on my network and play music from my phone to my sony DLNA compatible tv. I'm still testing other areas but so far this is the only one I am able to get to work that my devices actually see my phone as a DLNA compatible server. If interested let me know.

The zip is everything in the system folder of the Droid X.....you would open the zip and find system/app and try to install the .apk to your Droid. Only a few work as of yet, it's being worked on.
I was told that these as apps are made for and should run on 2.1update1 because that's what Droid X is running, so if you are running that, try installing a few and if you would leave some feed back here on what works and what don't please. Also I was told that as long as it's not anything associated with MotoBlur it should work. Edited by SCDroid, 29 June 2010 - 12:42 PM. #9 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 01:48 PM

I've tested most off the apps with froyo and with 2.1 and it seems that they are mostly specific to the Droid X....I guess we'll have to wait and see if anyone can make them work or if any other compatible version appear. 2 user(s) are reading this topic0 members, 2 guests, 0 anonymous users |
