I was pleased to see that it started dl'ing all my apps on its own as well...

So far so good. I downloaded zip file, installed using rom manager (clockwork mod) wipe data/cache and it booted up very fast and my files are auto-downloading already. Just be sure NOT to open the market during this process or it could stop those downloads (from past experience). Good luck and Great job P3Droid! Cheers Mate! #43 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:01 AM
Can anyone tell me precisely what the difference is between this and koush's released alpha of CM6? which is FRF57 38829 test-keys
I am just trying to figure out if I should install it or not...e.g will there be a difference? Also do I need to wipe data coming from this ROM going to 2.2 leaked. Thanks. #44 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:04 AM mR742 said: I was able to update from the Market to 4.3, give it a try I retract my statement....maps 4.3 installed flawlessly. P3 is the man! Thank you #45 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:06 AM

Just a few benchmarks to give an idea of performance with this build. I will post some screenshots when I get around to it.
I am running a 1280Mhz custom kernel I built using P3Droid's .32 repo config. All scores vary greatly dependent on many variables. Linpack: 20.89 Quadrant: 1774 NenaMark: 13.3 FPS BenchmarkPi: 972ms (time to calculate Pi, lower is better) SetCPU short bench: 121ms NeoCore: 24.5 FPS #47 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:14 AM mR742 said: I was pleased to see that it started dl'ing all my apps on its own as well... if you're on 3G it uses data, did you set up wifi before you downloaded them? i know we're on unlimited per say, but i went from an average of 1gb per month to almost 5 last month because the new 2.2 roms download all your apps...and i always wipe the system when i try new roms...pushed data way up....my fault for doing it while on the train killing time when i'm only connected 3g.... #48 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:17 AM
You did it again P3Droid, thanx!

I'm unable to run "adb remount". Also, when I run "adb root" it says I'm unable to do so on a production release. Any ideas?

Not "hacked" to work on the Droid, hacked to get off a Droid and put out for rooted Droid's. This is the code that is to be the OTA Release but it's not the OTA Release.....so rooting is required. #51 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:22 AM

Thanks for the awesome latest Froyo update for Motorola Droid, but it would be nice if you could also release the original, and we can always get root back ourselves any time which is the fun part about it. It's true that you are protecting the identity of the leaker, but it seem google doesn't really care, because it inspired more developers to join the Android platform. Anyway, still, thanks and keep up the good work.

That is mostly correct...but actually it was pulled from files we got directly from Motorola...not from a test phone. The actual files will not be released unless we decide otherwise. #54 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:32 AM CellZealot said: That is mostly correct...but actually it was pulled from files we got directly from Motorola...not from a test phone. The only problem I have seen so far is that certain apps don't show up in the market place such as "twonky" (do a search for it in the market) but after I installed this attachment named MarketFix_Busybox.zip it does show up. It includes Busybox also.
Not sure if this would have any effect on Maps updates or anything...let me know if you have any feed back on this. Attached FilesEdited by SCDroid, 29 June 2010 - 11:36 AM. #56 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:34 AM
I had to wipe data/ cache with mine but afterwards it installed as expected and it runs beautifully.
And now we wait for the overclockable kernels... :) #57 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:34 AM
I installed over the previous Froyo Leak without wiping data. All seems to be well. I had to update Maps but that went without a hitch.
Thanks for the early leak. #58 OFFLINEPosted 29 June 2010 - 11:35 AM
It can but u must wipe your phone. And if u on ese81 official u must downgrade and root first.
sarnell2 said: I'm a noob, so i apologize if this is a dumb question.. The notes say this will install over FRF57, but will this also install over 2.1 Build ESE81, which is what I'm currently running? Thanks in advance!! Can't wait to try this! I'm glad skylinedrifter mentioned overclocking, will I not be able to use a p3 kernel from the website? like the standard voltage 1000mhz is one I'm using now and it works awesome.
