No this is not a hoax, and your eyes are not deceiving you. This is a screenshot of the DroidX running Android 2.2 (Froyo). Not a lot of information is available but jump into the forum to see what I know and to share what you know

What I know:

** Yes it still has blur
** No it does not have the new froyo homescreen
** It behaves and looks just like current system.

That's an internal snapshot...notice the email as kernel name...that's a moto dev email

Wont it have to look like what we using now tho cuz of Blur? Is Froyo gonna look different on the Inc? One thing that was different was the Sounds and Display Settings were seperated in Froyo. And I think some phone, contact stuff was different.

I hope at least those things be different.

Well, I dunno about that- I got a droid x from vzw, mailed to my house.... and that's the kernel name. Ain't it the kernel on yours too? :blink

It should be interesting to see what motorola does with 2.2. The speed boost will be welcome, but hopefully moto has some tricks hidden up there sleaves when it comes to 2.2

Yeah, that part seems too good to be true. Unless Moto didn't bother blocking the same rooting method you would think there would be no way it would be rooted even before the first official leak. Still hoping this is a real pic however...
