If you ran Koush' bootstrapper app, you are SOL. Will not work due to modified logwrapper file.

If this is to be true then I am SOL myself. Regardless, I'll look into it when I get home from work. I still have every intention of donating. These guys are deserve compensation for their efforts to see to it that we are taken care of.

Yea. I'm in trouble due to koush's boot shit.

It wasn't $hit when you got it, so why trash him now? Hmm?

Poor Form, period.

SBF and then root and run this. I suppose you'll be calling this $hit if you run into any issues as well ....

What? I call everything shit. No hatred intended to Koush, or I wouldn't of spent my money on it. Go hate somewhere else pub.

quick question... if we update to 2.2 and still have root and all that....can we then use koush's recovery to make a backup...and to flash some ROMS once they come out..or will that only work for 2.1 as of now?

Ok I downloaded the file but now I have 2 questions. 1) Do I unzip or just put the update folder right on the sd card? 2) Where is the root on the sd card? I am new to this and this is the first time I am upgrading to a leak. The X is my first android phone but I did have both storms and used to update to leaks all the time. That brings me to one more question what happens when the official verizon froyo update is released? Is this leak gonna void my warranty if something goes wrong with the phone and verizon sees its 2.2?

Wow. Linpack jumped from 8.9 to 13.8. Quad went from 1285 to 1475.

Root of the SD card = root directory or "top level" or top most folder... (in windows, if you go My Computer -> open drive, it opens to the "ROOT directory"... at a command prompt if you're at C:\ that is the "root directory of drive C")

DO NOT UNZIP.. just place on the top level of the SD card.

As for voiding warranty.. I would imagine putting firmware, OS, or modification on your device that VZW or Google didn't release or intend to release probably voids your warranty.

Using the SBF file, and flashing back to the that should get you to a point where no one knows or realizes you did anything...
Personal devices... Verizon Droid X, HTC Inc

Just put the zip file itself in the main part of the sd card. Not in any folders

X1

I really don't want to lose Koush's recovery and lose the ability to get custom rom's in the future!!!
