The newest Verizon FRG22D has been deodexed, busyboxed, and given root.

This is as basic as it gets, and if there is a problem due to my deodexing, don't tell me. haha

***you will have a stock kernel but shoot on over to my kernel page and get an O/C Kernel - P3Droid Kernels

So here it is for you in a simple update.zip format.

To update to the newest version of Froyo (Android 2.2) for the Droid follow the directions below.

1) Download the files
Direct Download -----Release Version (FRG22D)

Mirror One ----- Release Version (FRG22D)

2) Place files on the root of your SD
3) Go into your Recovery
4) Clockwork Directions: go to install zip, find the zip on your sd card, and install
SPrecovery Directions: go to install zip, select allow update.zips (deprecated), install update.zip
5) Reboot your phone.

I flashed this, after a clean wipe.

Flash isn't showing up in the market (I know this doesn't matter since I'm rooted with the final .apk).

But more importantly, it's not allowing google maps, the new voice search, or the new google search to install. Keeps giving me installation unsuccessful.

I didn't wipe (I know i'm nasty) but I had the new search and voice already installed and they work fine after the update.

Oh and I'm getting the OTA notification to.

Ok, so maybe I shouldn't have wiped. I bet if I go in and remove them from /system/app they'll work... but just thought I'd mention it.

Yep, I'm having problems, too. SU is force closing and, consequently, ROM Manager, Root Explorer, etc., are force closing, too.
Also, getting the OTA update so I'm flashing back to previous rom for now.
