or just use the original 2.3.15 build.prop...save u the trouble

and i havent had any problems with battery manager...what was it doing that wasnt working?

ok i consider myself to be a good direction follower. I successfully rooted my droid 2. I then successfully installed Koush's Bootstrap.
In clock work I wiped everything, including a system format. I then flashed the file downloaded in link one, all it gave me was a sorta stripped down stock version that was incredibly laggy. I tyried several flashes, wiping in between, to no avail. From what I can tell I did everyting right but no r2. Is there a difference in the files in the links, should i tr all of them. I have to say it is extremely time consuming downloading what appears to be the same file.


Any suggestions.

Im dumb.. went through steps again and got the droid we are looking for. Yep big nerd.

Ok so from the silence I went throught the steps again, guess I could feel all the stares, sucess. just forgot to mount the system in clockwork before flashing. Runs like a champ.

Request I am learning a lot about themeing but I have a long way to go. Any chance anyone can create a dark blu notification bar with a Star Wars pic on the pull down. Think its dumb they didnt think of that when they released this version.

Glad you worked it out...we were in the break room eating cake together and rooting for you. ;) Operator error is the cause of most of the of ROM/theme flashing issues that come up (mine included). :)

I have noticed some of my apps are not showing in the market. Im guessing this is because our build has changed. Is there a fix, or workaround?

The D2 R2D2 releases today or tomorrow - the build.prop fingerprint should be registered w/the market and work fine shortly.

So I believe R2D2 is now official...anyone noticing any changes in some apps showing/not showing in the market running 2.4.0?

I understand everything except where to get the 2.3.15 build prop. After the update I think I just have the R2D2 build prop so i am unclear on how to get the 2.3.15 build prop.

I took everything it from 2.3.15

Go to app manager..all...find swype and clear data/uninstall
Replaced my r2d2 build.prop w 2.3.15s build.prop
Reboot
Drop swype.apk into /system/app
Click on swype.apk in /system/app using root explorer and use package manager to install
Go to keyboard settings and check swype
Select swype as input method
Start swyping. Worked for me lemme know how it works for u folks.

I ahve not seen any apps show up. I also took the build.prop from the original shipped ROM and replaced it with the one in my ROM now and apps still did not show up. I wonder if it is checking in a different way. Changing the keys always worked for the original droid but cant figure out why it is not working with the D2.

I also lost mine and did the 1 click root. Worked just fine. Loving this ROM

The other thing it's missing is that the R2D2 has evidently released with 2.4.5. :)
