My wife is a special education teacher, so the "r" word is a big no-no in our world (Special Olympics: Spread the Word to End the Word). But I have to tell ya, sometimes I really envy alot of the kids I meet thru Special Olympics. I seriously have yet to meet one of their olympians or student who aren't just HAPPY. I stop in to my wife's school and typically run into my "girlfriend" (she calls herself this, and we just go along with it..it's hilarious), she takes my hand and drags me from class to class to meet her teachers and friends (each and every visit). She's truely excited to introduce me every time, and excited for me to meet them.

Me? Body by Sam Adams, mind by Mattel. I could only hope to be consistently that happy one day.

Much thanks for posting this. I had bricked my droid X. This saved it. Not only did it come back... but all files were still there and even let me upgrade to the new OTA 2.21

OK, so, my DX is in a bad way. I am now at 2.3.340. Baseband is at 1.09.07P. I had TBH TranQ on. Now, I have lost all my apps and when I go to install them it says they are installing but never any progress. So I downloaded z4root and put it on my sd card, but when I go to files and try to run it, it says installing - then kind-of reboots to the Tranquility screen and has to reconnect to the network and everything. It is good for a phone now - but that's about it. Does anyone have any ideas?

Before using this SBF file what software build were running before flashing with this?

I was using .340 OTA

OK I figured it out.... I had to use .320 SBF.... But what if I want to go further back, how do I do that?

You can't ever go backwards now. Once you updated to the .340 OTA update any earlier build is useless now.

FYI the way all the new updates go for Moto is once you go forward no going back. so just keep that in mind for future reference.

OK, what the hell am I doing wrong?

I have had absolutely zero luck with clockwork recovery every time I've used it. Last time I had to SBF, think I'm getting close again.

I just did the deodex + gingerbread skin, no actual custom ROM.

I had made a backup before doing that. I was getting terrible battery life since I did the above so I tried to go back to a back-up today. Every time it locks up on:

I've done a data wipe and tried again, still hangs at that part. Any help would be appreciated.

You guys don't want to go further back. Have you all rooted and installed the droidx bootstrapper?
