Since that first erroneous release, we have put all our efforts into bringing you a viable and usable 2.3.320. I personally would like to say I am very proud of the team, and that this took some thinking outside of the box.

This update functions just like the OTA from Motorola/Verizon, once you upgrade you will be unable to use the 2.3.15 sbf. If you do use the 2.3.15 sbf file you will put your phone in an inoperable state.

This is not a very difficult update to perform on your phone, but you must follow the directions exactly. Failure to do so can render your phone inoperable.

Before beginning this double check to make sure your normal recovery is working correctly and that you know how to enter the normal recovery. If you normal recovery is not working reinstall the 2.3.15 SBF before proceeding with any upgrade.

Please FULLY charge your battery before starting any flash procedure!!! You never know what will happen and once you are in either bootloader or recovery you CANNOT charge the phone!!! This is a very important fundamental step that many people are not taking and it will leave you in a very tough position if you run out of power in the middle of any recovery attempt This is why the bootloader does it's own power check and will not allow you to start flashing unless there is enough power to complete a full flash cycle.

You must be rooted, and running Koush's bootstrapped recovery before you begin this process.

Directions: This update requires you to format your system, mount your system, then run an update zip. Please familiarize yourself with these functions inside of the Clockwork Recovery before attempting this install.

Step One: Root your Device, I suggest Z4Root int the Marketplace

Step Two: Download the file from one of the following locations and place on your sdcard.

Download One: Download File - Link is Now Dead

Download Two: Download File - Link is Now Dead

Download Three: Download File - Link is Now Dead

Step Three: Using bootstrap recovery, restart your phone in recovery

Step Four: Navigate to mount and storage
**** Select - Format System ****
**** Select - Mount System ****

Step Five: Navigate to install zip from sdcard
**** Select - choose zip from sdcard ****
******* Select the file you downloaded (Blur_2.3.320_System_2.2.1.zip)

Step Six: Wipe your Data/Cache

********************************************************************
This update will update your phones internal structure, your bootloader, and your system. When finished you will be on 30.04 you are currently on 30.03.

**************************************************************
If you screw up the install, you do have options. Of course TBH would not leave you hanging.

First verify that your bootloader is @ 30.04 if it is and your phone is stuck or you screw up the system - Use this system only sbf file - Download Link is now dead.

*************************************************************
If your phone is bootlooping, congratulations your install went correclty, but your data is incompatible, simply wipe data by going into the stock recovery and doing so.

So installing this update makes the current SBF completely useless? can you restore INTO a backup that has the older version if you need to THEN run SBF?

From the sounds of it, there is no option to sbf back if this does not work. This will likely hold true until someone is able to leak out the sbf file. when? might be tomorrow, might be christmas, no one knows.

I believe P3Droid said that an SBF file is not yet available for this build. The current 2.2 SBF will not work. Upgrade at your own risk.

Also to those that upgrade, can you root with Z4Root?

This just sounds too risky to me. Not enough info on why this update is worth bricking your phone and no way out.

So for example if I update to 2.3.21 my installed ROM (rubiX 1.8.6) will be unusable?
even though its built on Android 2.2.1 and system version 2.3.20?

If youre not going to change ROMs then this would be a moot point. No, it would not be unusable but when you install Rubix you eliminate what ever ROM you are currently running

This is what P3Droid stated via twitter:" Now this is the best release ever, also System only sbf, and coming today, an update back to 2.3.15 via update zip." I would say like always TBH comes through in big ways and delivers :)

This was my question as well. I'm loving rubixFocused 1.8.6 no blur so I'll hold off on this. Nice work tho guys!
