I just got a droid 2 global. I want to get to stock android. Is this the first thing I should do? If not then where should I start?

Thank you so much! Nice to be able to have this around while I play with my phone, rooting and such. I've just restored my D2G with the SBF and the instructions on the 1st page, and it worked perfectly. This is so great. :yes

Where did you find RSDlite?

It's in the TBH app. The link in the forum was pulled by Moto. We don't know why they chose to pull that link but the links in the TBH app have not been pulled.

Thanks. I found it using Google was well, but there does not seem to be an "official" site. Well.... I purchased the TBH market app. Not much there for the Global, but it has the SFB and RSDlite, so well worth the 2$!!

So I went through all of these steps, but after it attempted to flash my device, I received an error saying "Failed flashing process. Failed flashing process. Phone[0000]: Error sending JUMP command Device API Error..."

I have been looking for hours and can't seem to find out how to fix this... I think my phone is toast.

I do not know enough to answer this but the SBF file can be used to return things to "out of the box" state. I just do not know what happens when a firmware flash fails. It might be bricked. I do not know. Someone smarter than me will reply.

This is a stock file for the VZW firmware from Motorola. It is not hacked or altered in any way.

I would think it would return the phone to Verizon.

oppss... so i cant treat this phone like xt720, that can make me flash from 1 sbf to other sbf.

Well... in the Team Black Hat app, there are TWO SBF files for download. Does anyone know the difference between them? I was able to download everything via the app - RSDlite, drivers, but the SBF would not download with WiFi, I had to switch to 3G for the download, it kept getting canceled. It is a great APP!

ok I need some help. Just went from D1 to D2 rooted, bootstrapped and loaded liberty, except something went wrong, the keyboard is not mapped properly so I can log into my google account and I have no data (yes I dl the one dof d2) and way trying start over but now I cant find the sbf file. can anyone help? Id buy the TBH app to get this but I have no way to do that. Am freaking out a bit I have a useless droid 2 global here

You have to look for roms that support droid 2 global. Droid 2 roms aren't fully compatible with global version. As for the sbf you will have to search for it on the internet.
