I want to start a compatibility list.
I will start with confirmed buggy and leave it at that for now, until I can test some more.

I made the mistake of batch recovering apps and data with Tbu and had some tedious issues.

Buggy/don't work:
Blur social network widgets - just tells me to add account, nada with my troubleshooting
Mobile Defense
ADW EX
ADW Standalone
Launcher Pro
Executive assistant
Juice Defender - can't toggle data, that's the whole purpose
(Possibly COL Reminder)

Works well:
LCD Density - there were issues with blur roms and the dialer when density was changed, in the past.
This app changed mine to 220 perfectly, no bugs thus far, I havent tested lower values.

OK - what apps are you finding incompatible?

Maybe a list will make things easier for people hopping on board.

launcher pro plus works no issues. as for juice why don't u use the MOTO battery saver? I have mine set to turn data off after 15mins no issues. I found if I.do a wipe a few times the apps tend to work.

Restoring from Tbu was the issue. It never worked right on my Dx. I had both launchers you mentioned and they worked fine. I deleted then after playing.

Yeah, there is some data I need to keep by using Tbu.
I am sbf'ng back now :(

It was just waaay too much aggrevation for me.
I know I will come back to it soon though.

JD taps into the data 1 minute every 15 and I have had this before Moto did the battery saver.
JD is just much more comprehensive

What is buggy for you with ADW EX? I've been using it both before root and now with root and I haven't experienced any bugs.

Does the dialer app work now w/ LCD Density? That was my one gripe about it when I was using it on 2.2.

EX kept force closing.
I am a glutton for punishment, but I may just try it again.

So I restored from TBu and apparently that was part of the issue...do I just reinstall with appbrain or the market with no data?

well MOTO battery saver has been on the X since day one. I find it easier to use then jd. I also see I can change the push notifications to different times.

Can someone with a d2 running the gb leak download the wordpress app from the market and, let me know if it force closes at the loading screen? I need someone to see if its a reproduceable bug and not just my phone being weird

Wireless Tether for Root Users doesn't work with the Gingerbread leak.

It said the kernel was not compatible when it first loaded. I went ahead and tried using it anyways. My computer will detect AndroidTether, connect too it, but will not have internet access.
Furthermore after turning tethering on, I no longer have neither 3G or 1x, and have to restart the phone to get network back.

Sorry to hear that.most of those apps run fine on mine, few on the list I don't care for. Love GB, not one app problem yet,i will let you know....

Thanks, I've been bugging the app developer about it and even sent him a logcat of what happens when the app is launched till it closes, but he wanted me to find someone else with a D2 to reproduce it, as they don't have one to verify.

For those who are having erroneous FC's and lag from ADW EX or Launcher Pro, I would recommend doing a Factory Reset from within Android (Settings => Privacy => Factory Data Reset). I had an unrelated issue after switching from non-Rooted GB to Rooted GB (Apps didn't auto-restore and with over 100 apps it would be a nightmare to do manually), which resulted in a need for a Factory Reset. Since then I have not has a single issue associated with ADW and Launcher Pro, ADW EX also seems to run better than Launcher Pro in general. I have not had a single FC yet from any app. If you are having trouble with an app and its free let me know and I will try to replicate it.

visual voice mail isnt working on my D2 GB. the messages arnt downloading. any fix ideas??
