Hey all still having trouble flashing this de-odexed version of the rooted gingerbread. First time I did it I was running The rooted gingerbread and I went into clockwork recovery and flashed it without clearing any of the data or anything. It booted after that without a loop but then I was getting all kinds of force close issues. So I went back into clockwork and then I cleared all date cache davick and once all that was cleaned out I flashed the file linked on this site again. I have since tried twice to get it to work and the only thing it does is bootloop to the point where all I can to is to use RSDlite to make it work. Am I missing something?

Hey i got it working I believe. What you should do is reflash the rom to the original GB that was rooted. Install clockwork and then immediatly flash to the de odexed version. It worked like a charm for me with no bootloop at all.

My phone is now bootlooping. I followed the instructions in the first post, and I have wiped data and cache using the stock recovery, but I havent been able to fix it. I use a mac so I can't use RDSLite to SBF. Any suggestions?

How many Times did you wipe? You need to do it more than once.

Do you know anyone with a Windows Computer that you could use to SBF?

I found a computer to use to SBF. Once it is SBFed, can I restore my odexed gingerbread from recovery, or do I need to flash gingerbread first?

Honestly I wound flash GB and go from there but I haven't tested what you're asking so I'm not sure.

Also bootlooping after install. Wiped a bunch of times. What's wrong with this file here?

Ick, I think I will wait a while on the deodex...maybe
I dunno if I want to wipe all affter it's finally set up, especially with people having all these issues.

If I do this, I will just wipe, wipe wipe, install original GB with root, bootstrap, then install deodexed. Hmmm we will see

What was your install process?
Seems like a bunch are having issues, but one person seemed to be doing it the hard way without wiping, then wiping cured it...just like the OP says.

Is everyone completely wiping first, then doing this or just laying the deodexed zip over your current setup?

Did anyone else lose Voice Commands app going from GB rooted to GB DEODEXED? AI had it with stock GB and rooted GB but its gone with GB DEODEXED it seems. App on home screen but click it and says Application is not installed on your phone. the app is called Vsuite.apk - is it possible it did not get DEODEXED? It was so much better than previous voice commands app, very responsive etc.

thanks
