Hey all, its been a long time since you have seen a leak. LOL. WAIT, this isn't a leak, this is the official release of Gingerbread by Motorola and Verizon.

UPGRADE PATHS

Method One
The first method to upgrade to gingerbread from froyo is to sbf you phone back to stock froyo (2.3.340) and await for the upgrade OTA. (BAD IDEA)

Method Two
The second method to upgrade to gingerbread from froyo is to sbf you phone back to stock froyo (2.3.340) and use the 2 install files from below.

Method Three
The third method is for anyone currently running a Gingerbread leak (588/591/595). You can just install the appropriate zip right over the top of your previous build.

IF YOU DO NOT HAVE THE MOST CURRENT RADIO .12P THEN YOU WILL NEED TO SBF BACK TO .340 AND THEN USE METHOD 2.

None of this would be possible without the BUBBA and many others, so we all say thank you very much.

Basic Directions:

Dowload the zip
Reboot phone into Clockwork Recovery
Install the Zip file.

So if I already have the DX Bootstrapper on the X and I want to use the D2 bootstrapper I can just install it, bootstrap with that program and reboot into recovery with it and all should be good right?

So Baseband of BP_C_01.09.07P means I have to SBF and go with method 2? That's the radio you were talking about?

I dont see the downloads working? are they in the process of being uploaded and you are just preparing the post? also I assume the deodexed version will be prerooted? sorry, I am still new to this and just installed the 595 leak a week ago. already got the XOOM boot logo and animation and the CRT installed. also is this update going to require another market fix?

I can't seem to gather from the above if the patched update.zip (method 2) is rooted (and deodexed). I imagine its isn't, but just wanting to make sure.

TBH app is swamped now. I'm grabbing the rooted deodexed for previousl installed gb, and I'm at 7% after 20 minutes or so. 8(
At this rate, I'm looking at what, 5 hours for the download to complete.

So I downloaded and installed .596, worked like a charm. First thing I tested was the LED lights when using the Mulitmedia Dock. They now TURN OFF when it's been on the dock for a while. No more super-bright LEDs all night long. Just though you guys might like to know that it seems like that was fixed, at least.

Is there any noticeable difference between 595 and 596?

Can anyone confirm if .596 is being sent with the new keyboard? Even though I've already got it installed, I had the free GB app installed, so I can't tell if I'm using that or the stock GB keyboad, if it came with one. Thanks!

Since the TBH app is unusable to download now, how long before the mirror links are available?
