This is the first release from TeamBlackHat for the Droid Charge. Yeah !!!

The first file is a full tar that can be used to recover a phone or reset the phone to a factory state.

You will need 7z to unpack this tar.

This is windows only.
You must install everything in the zip file

How to use Samsung Flashing PST

1. Remove Sim Card

2. Set to Download Mode
[INDENT]a. Power Off → Hold VOL DWN while Press and Release PWR[/INDENT]

3. Run Samsung PST and make sure the PST shows “Com port connected”
[INDENT]a. Select Software Tab.
b. Select "PDA+PHONE" for Software Download Option and Check “Boot update” option.
c. Click on “Open AP” and select file ”
d. Select Start
e. Wait until the message window is displayed and then click ok.
f. Device reboots.[/INDENT]

4. If the Device bootloops , do a Factory Reset on the device.

Can someone break this down for a complete noob? I need this to restore my charge, but I cant seem to figure out how to get the Samsung PST to run.

After flashing with this utility using the provided file my phone was successfully flashed to the following version;

I then received a notification for the Over The Air (OTA) update to EE4. I performed the update here are my current versions;

The verizon apps are all there, the recovery rom is there, shutdown sound is there.

The only issue i have is a mysterious Verizon Mobile CD Drive showing up on my PC when the phone is connected (Please see picture below).



I believe this drive didn't exist prior to flashing and i was wondering if anyone knew how to get rid of it.

I wanted my phone to be fully fully stock the way verizon gives it to you so i can take it back to the store as if nothing ever happened.

1. PST DLL:

  SamsungPST SCH-I510 For Verizon ver.1.0.010:

    SamsungPST SCH-I510 For Verizon.msi


  SamsungPSTLite FW Setup1.0.004_MSI1ndEdition:

    instmsiw.exe

    ISScript10.Msi

    SamsungPSTLite.msi

    setup.exe


2.USB Driver:

  SAMSUNG_USB_Driver_for_Mobile_Phones_v1.3.1900.0.exe

  VIA USB Drivers 2.3.5.WithMux (32-Bit).msi

So, all of those exe's and msi's? Any particular order?

Same here...
EDIT:
So I did disconnect, killed PSTLite, and started over. This time pulled the battery from my phone first, then plugged in the USB cable, then clicked on the vol-down. The yellow triangle appeared immediately.

Put the battery back in, started PST Lite, did everything else to set up as before and started.

This time, after the GetProcAddress Loading OK!, it started transfering. I'm at 54% as I type. So yeah, give that a try, robowald.
