Another stupid question - I sbf'd to the 596, can I root this or do I need to go back to something older, root it, and then do the OTA update or something?

Download link down due to market and such issues....:bigcry F5 button stuck, it's all good though it'll be sweeeet when the planets realign with the DarkSlide...so in the mean time, will wait it out.

Thanks, BBC, looking good so far! Gmail was 'fixed' after wiping in settings. Market searching FC every time even after wiping in settings and rebooting - but Market terms show up just fine (someone reported them white on white). Likewise Spare Parts battery hx FC. Lastly on lock screen, the right button (the one for sound ... not the one for vibrate) shows up as if whited out or ghosted.

Minor issue: anyone else have a non-inverted sound off lockscreen slider?

Gotta SBF back to .340...re-root and all the other steps to get where you need to be. Sorry.

BBC, glad ya finally got this great rom out. I know you made alot of people happy today. I think I'm gonna hold off a couple days give ya time to work out some the issues. Really Appreciate the hard work and the time you put in for the community.thank you.

So since the requirment is to just be on .596 can you you flash this on top of liberty v 0.8? Why don't you clear data etc?

The old swype wasn't even there.

Yeah I need swype too... lol I can't stand testing without it... any ideas BBC?

Okay, all is well except for spareparts battery history fc and in set device admin there's a file called admin notifier. Spareparts can be fix by downloading the one in market tho for about seeing history. And questioning about device check because never seen it before under that category. All system apps and functions are working great no fc. I do want swype back tho.

In market can't see text when go to settings and click set content filter.

You get swype from the swype beta. Just go to beta.swype.com

i was thinking same thing, i want to wipe then flash a clean copy of deodexed 596. install d2 bootstraper, then flash darkslide

yes, you need to be on 596. Liberty is a sudo AOSP and doesnt play nice with other roms. So you will need to install a clean deodexed 596 prior to installing DS

This is why I usually don't download a ROM as soon as a link is posted..I'll be patient on this..but I gotta say hands down..DS is the best ROM ever! Can't wait till everythings stable and in place..props

For all those trying to use the new swype beta you have to rename our delete all swype files from your phone there are 3 of them. Search swype site forum for directions.reinstall swype installer and go from there.
