I don't advise TB for anything if you want to get rid of bloat rename it .bak or delete it with Root Explorer. What Phone are you using?

You won't need to SBF to Flash a Rom But for an OTA you will but I've haven't taken an OTA since the D1 so I never saw it as an issue.

i really do not see the purpose in the TB app if you have root access.
too me it is like task managers....has no place on a GOOD root phone.

buy root explorer ( yeah its worth the $$) and just rename or delete the apps.

as a fanboy of TB, and a heckler to Jolly for wondering why its so bad, i've been converted. stopped using it when upgrading to .596, now on SSX, and i won't go back. just causes problems. mybackup root works perfectly every time, and seems (note i said seems) to work across ROMs most of the time...

good advice coming here ppl, well done...

SSX = Simply Stunning X

It is a rom for the Droid X. No it will not work on the Droid X2 or anyother device.
