Same here. Except on CM4DX with the GB kernel.

So can we just copy and paste the boot animation to system/media and Bionic.ogg to system/bin?

Try mounting system first. Worked fine for be on CM.

Thanks P3.

So can I flash this in Recovery or do I have to do this manually in root explorer? This is my first time changing animation.

Its in mounts and storage in clockwork recovery mode. Click on that and mount system is the one highlighted click that and accept. Then, hit power button to go back one screen so you can reboot.
My two cents in a world that gives a penny for my thoughts.

ok, I selected mount system, then reboot, then rom manager, then install zip from SD and it installed, rebooted but still get the same animation.

Why would you reboot after you mount?

I just flashed it works. Restart in recovery, mounts and storage, mount system, install zip from sd, then restart. BAM!

On another subject is there a matching boot logo for the bionic?

P3droid, Thanks for everything you do.

I'm now rockin' the bionic wallpapers and I'd like to try the boot animations. I have root on latest stock ota GB. Can I just rewrite the system/bin and system/media files with root explorer?

I've flashed before, but never messed with boot animations.

Also if I need to use bootstrap recovery am I now using the droid 2 version like we had to in-order to flash the leaked GB versions, or are we back to using the DX version?

Thanks for the help!
