I have a DX running CM7; froyo kernel not GB. Today I got a strange notification asking to update the SU binary. I didn't update since I don't know if it's a virus. What is this and should I update? thanks

I'm showing that an update is available for Superuser by ChainsDD but the reviews for the update to version 3.0.4 are causing force closes for rooted apps.
