Make a new folder on root of SD called Media (if it isn't already there...) and place the unzipped folder in this (sdcard/media/audio) or you can move them to the corresponding System/Media/Audio folders using Root Explorer...

Alternative Installation Method (ADB):

  • Extract audio folder from zip file to C: drive.
  • Run the following ADB commands:
adb remount
adb push C:\Audio\ /system/media/audio

WIN! :workout

ok, here is what u do: when downloading directly to your phone you will get a downloaded item icon/file name on your pull down notification bar. Do not click on it. Just open Astro directly by clicking on Astro app icon. Then find the zipped file in your "Download" directory, and then it will let you unzip it, and you can then move the files to the Media directory. Try this, if this does not help, pray Cthulhu..

If you own a mac, you can download all2mp3 application, and then just drop the mp3's on to your sd card into folders labeled "ringtones" or "notifications"

Hey guys, looking for a little help. I moved the UI folder from the ICS audio folder into system/media/audio, replacing the current UI folder, using the root file manager in RomToolbox. But now none of the sounds are working. ie: lock sound, unlock sound, camera shutter, etc. I have already checked all of my settings as far as "sound on lock/unlock" and volume controls, everything should be working properly as far as the settings are concerned, but still no audio coming from UI actions. Any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
